2010 saw the release of ‘Strong Enough’ a new EP from melodic thrash/death metal band Broken Mirrors, featuring two tracks that will appear on their next album as well two raucous punk rock cover versions. The infectious melodies combined with powerful, hard hitting thrash are quickly becoming the trademarks of this young French metal band.

Broken Mirrors are:

  • Francois: Guitars/Vocals
  • Florian: Guitar
  • Van: Keyboards
  • Guillaume: Bass
  • Julien: Drums

Broken Mirrors were formed in 2007, the brainchild of singer/guitarist François Guichard. With a stable line up completed the band began working on four songs, recording their debut EP ‘Beyond the Mirrors’ in April 2008.

The band continued writing in 2008 and spent several months of recording at the Wild Century Studio (FR) and a mastering session at the Finnvox Studio (FI) to complete their debut album ‘Seven Years’.

In 2009 drummer Loïc left due to musical creative differences. He was replaced by Julien Racine whose arrival allowed Broken Mirrors to begin writing new material for their follow up release.

Some of that material now appears on ‘Strong Enough’ as a preview of the next album. Broken Mirrors have been touring extensively in 2010 in support of the EP release and will continue to perform live throughout this year.

Broken Mirrors have just recorded their second album, which will be released later this year.
